Jerry & Mary, 23 March 2020
Birds, voices, rustling, new growth, contrasting patterns; winding branches and miniature tracks. The crunch of pebbles and soft fresh green leaves of spring, laughing.

A neat garden with a working railway track which brings a playfulness to the lawn with its pebbled areas and flowered borders. The plants themselves grow in their own order and the trees near the patio are festooned with all varieties of bird feeders.
The 23rd March was a bright spring day with a garden brimming over with the new life of Spring. There was a disconnect between what the newspapers printed and what I saw around me: the blue skies and budding foliage prompting all the optimism that Spring brings after Winter. I sat on a bench soaking in the sun, the colours of the garden and savoured the sounds of spring. Susan |
